Open Cricut Design Space and import your SVG design.

If the imported SVG design is not already multi-colored, then change some of the fill colors of the design.

Ungroup the design.

Select just one part of the design and choose a different fill color.

To keep parts of the design together on the mat, choose all layers that are the same color and click Attach.

Click Make It.

On the next screen, Cricut Design Space automatically color sorts the design(s) into different colored mats.

There were 5 different colors in the design which means there are 5 different mats.

Click Continue in the bottom right corner and connect your Cricut machine.

Select the Material for the first mat (which will also be applied to the rest of the mats unless you change the material for the next mats).

The white area around the mat means that it is currently selected.

If you wanted to cut a different mat first, click on it. The white area will appear around that mat.

Load the material onto the mat. We're using Siser Easyweed HTV.

Load the mat into the machine.

Make sure you put the material on the cutting mat in the same position as it is on the virtual mat in Cricut Design Space.

Remember: if you're cutting HTV then you may need to mirror the design before cutting.

Click the Flashing Go button on the Cricut Maker and it will start cutting.

When the first mat is done, you will be prompted to unload the mat from the machine.

Remove the cut material from the cutting mat.

You'll see in Cricut Design Space that the next mat is selected. And there's a check mark on the mat that you've already cut. If necessary, you could change the material. Otherwise, it will stay the same for the other mats.

Load the new material onto the cutting mat and load the mat into the machine.

Press Go on the machine to begin cutting, and remove the mat when done cutting. Repeat these steps until you have cut all the different colors of the design.

To make these mason jar toppers, cut squares of fabric. We're using quilting cotton.

Proceed to press the weeded HTV designs centered on the fabric. We're using the Cricut Mini Press.

Fill the mason jar with the desired contents and place the flat lid over the top. Center the fabric over the flat lid.

Screw the open lid over the fabric.

Such a fun idea for party favors or holiday gifts!
