How to Put Easy Color DTV on Wood Earrings

Bundle promotions in this blog post have ended - you can find the designs we used HERE.

Easy Color DTV isn't just for shirts and garments, you can put EasyColor DTV on wood too!

Check out how to make wood earrings easily by printing and cutting Siser's direct to vinyl and applying directly to the wood.

Start in your software program - I used Silhouette Studio - by opening your design.

I am using this adorable plaid heart from the Beginner Farmhouse bundle.

Using a template I made to exactly match the size and shape of my wood earring blanks, I simply placed the template cut line over the design. Setup the work area for print and cut by turning on registration marks marks.

Place a sheet of EasyColor DTV in your inkjet printer and send the design to print then cut it with your cutting machine.

Once the Easy Color DTV is cut, weed away the excess and use a piece of mask to pick up the cut pieces.

Place the direct to vinyl direct on the wood and secure with a piece of high temperature tape.

Press with a heat press at 315 degrees for about 20 seconds.

I made these wood earrings double sided by repeating the process with another piece of EasyColor DTV on the backside.

Slip in some earring hooks and you're done!

Didn't they turn out so cute and SO easy when you print and cut the EasyColor DTV so you're not messing with layering vinyl or HTV.

Make a pair of our own wood earrings by grabbing the Beginner Farmhouse SVG Bundle available for a limited time.
