Create this easy DIY farmhouse sign for your Halloween farmhouse decor with adhesive vinyl using this step-by-step tutorial.

Cut & weed your vinyl design using your Cricut Silhouette or Scan N Cut Machine

Add your transfer paper to the back of the vinyl decal.

AND add a layer of parchment paper BEHIND your vinyl design.

Once the black chalk paint has dried, it is time to sand the edges to give your farmhouse sign a more authentic, distressed look.

Wipe down and spray with a protective top coat. This protects the wood and provides a smooth finish for your vinyl decal.

Trim the excess parchment paper from your vinyl decal and place it onto the wood.

Tape the top edge of the design to the wood using washi tape.

Now lift the design up and cut away half of the parchment paper.

This will allow you to adhere the bottom half of the design in place without it moving!

Using the red squeegee smooth down the bottom half of the design.

Now do the same with the top half of the design:

Burnish (or rub in) the vinyl decal with the red squeegee.

Remove the transfer paper.
