How to Create a Reverse Canvas Sign with HTV

Bundle promotions in this blog post have expired - you can find the design we used HERE.

In this tutorial, we'll show you how to make a Christmas tree truck reverse canvas sign!

It all starts with that classic (and super popular) Christmas tree truck design!

You'll find this design in the Farmhouse Christmas Font and Design Bundle.

To size it correctly for your project, flip an art canvas to the back and measure the space inside the frame.

Cut the Christmas tree truck design out of heat transfer vinyl. We're using Siser Easyweed

Remove the canvas from the wood frame by using a craft knife and a straight edge.

Press the HTV to the canvas (with either an iron or heat press) and visually center the HTV design within where the frame will be placed.

As for the frame, you can decide to stain it or paint it.

Apply a strip of strong hold double-sided adhesive to the back of the wooden frame.

Remove the paper backing from the double-sided adhesive.

Press the frame onto the canvas to adhere with the truck centered within the frame.

Trim the canvas to fit behind the wooden frame.

Make this Christmas tree truck sign yourself by grabbing the design in the Farmhouse Christmas Font and Design Bundle.
