3 Easy DIY Earring Projects That Aren't Faux Leather

This tutorial will show you 3 easy diy earring projects that aren't faux leather. They can be created using a Cricut, ScanNCut or Silhouette machine or even cut by hand.

Butterfly Faux Laser Cut Earrings

1. Faux Laser Cut Wood Earrings

Want to make diy earrings that look like they've been laser cut? Try this technique with wood veneer adhesive backed sheets and cardstock.

Remove the wood sheet backing and place on top of the cardstock. Cut out your earring templates once from the wood sheet and several times from the cardstock.

Stack and glue the cardstock pieces to create a thick earring.

Adhere the wood sheet piece to the front of the stack.

You can even ink the edges to get the "burnt" edge from a true laser cut.  We used this ink blending tool & Distress Ink.

We created these beautiful, butterfly faux laser cut earrings using wood veneer sheets.

Cut them out twice - 1 set should be mirrored - then peel back the adhesive cover and stick them together.

Super easy!!

2. Metallic Foil DIY Earrings

For this project, we used two different colors of metallic foil cardstock with adhesive backs.

Cut to fit the size of your earring templates and remove the backing of both and stick together, back-to-back.

Place the material onto your mat and adhere with blue painters tape so it doesn't shift and cut out your earring templates.

Create nicely finished, double-sided earrings by cutting your earring templates twice.

Adhere 2 pieces together with a little bit of white craft glue to create a sturdier earring.

If you love the soft feel of suede and fringe...these faux suede diy earrings are a fun & easy project.

Cut the fringed earring templates with faux suede for a very cool boho earring. You can find the jewelry hardware here.
