Product Description
This 3D Christmas Trees layered laser cut design is almost 8" wide and 6.5" tall from the base to the tip of the star on the middle tree.
The three decorated trees will make a wonderful centerpiece or table decoration. You will need some craft glue or wood glue to complete the project. Full-color building instructions are included with the files.
The Christmas Trees on a stand design comes in DXF, EPS, and SVG files to work with whatever equipment and software you have. Files are available in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm thicknesses.
The files are ready to use with all major laser cutters.
These can be cut from plywood, MDF, hardboard, or acrylic. Make sure to measure your material with a digital caliper in several locations to be sure it is uniform in width. MDF and acrylic usually are uniform, but plywood isn't always and could affect how the trees fit into the base.
I recommend painting wood materials with watercolor paints to retain the wood grain look and not add any depth to the pieces. The slots at the bottoms of the trees will fit tightly into the holes in the base, so if you use a thicker paint, you will want to widen the holes in the base to accommodate the extra width.
You could also use Christmas-themed papers glued to the wood layers for added interest in the design. You will need to adapt the holes in the base to accommodate the paper's extra width.
Use weights or binder clips to hold pieces tightly together while the glue is drying. This will ensure they fit in the base properly.
Requirements:
• Files come in zip format. Typically files will open automatically or by double clicking on them. If not, you may need to get an unzipping program like Winzip or 7-Zip.
• You will need the appropriate software to open these files. This may include Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, LightBurn or similar software.
