Yes, if you want to cut a certain part of design you can hide or delete the rest and cut the only one you needed. It's the main benefit of the layered cut files :) With these files you can cut each part of design separetly.

🦋Do I need to resize these butterflies?🦋

There is no need, I saved it with right parameters :) You can resize these files and make it bigger if you need, but I don't recommend to make it smaller (only if you want to cut just the silhouette of the butterfly).
