Why You Should be Applying Vinyl with Soapy Water (Aka Wet Method)

If you're not applying vinyl with soapy water aka using the wet method application, you are missing out.

Using the wet method for vinyl helps reduce the amount of air bubbles you get under your vinyl - which can be particularly helpful when applying vinyl to glass and plastic surfaces.

Make a spray bottle of water with a drop or two of dish soap.

Cut the vinyl design and weed it.

We are using cut Cheer Coach SVG from the Sports SVG & Font Bundle to make a glass shadow box with a vinyl decal.

Place transfer tape over the vinyl decal to pick it up off the backing. Hinge down the top of the transfer tape to the surface where you are applying the vinyl decal.

Spray a squirt of the soapy water mixture onto the surface and then fold the vinyl down.

Use your scraper to run across the surface to basically squeegee out any excess water.

Wasn't that easy..and there are no bubbles under the vinyl!
