Make Weeding Vinyl Easier by Adding Weeding Boxes
Bundle promotions in this blog post have expired - you can find the design that we used HERE.
You can save yourself time and headaches when it comes to weeding vinyl, by adding weeding boxes to your design before cutting with your Cricut, ScanNCut or Silhouette cutting machine.
The fall subway art design used in this fall farmhouse wood sign comes from the September 2021 SVG and Font Bundle.
Weeding boxes, or weeding lines, divide a large design into sections which allows you to weed small parts of the larger design individually.
This is very helpful for text-heavy designs - like this fall subway art svg design that we cut out of adhesive vinyl.
In the design software of your choice, add shapes (AKA your weeding boxes) around the individual words.
Make sure the lines of the weeding boxes do not cross any parts of the original design
You can add as many weeding boxes as you think will be helpful.
It's okay if the weeding box lines cross over other weeding box lines.
Send your design (with its added weeding boxes) to your cutting machine to cut it out.
Weed out the excess vinyl with ease...
...because you can weed small individual areas at one time.
By working in smaller sections, you have more control over the weeding process, which means you'll be less likely to make mistakes. This will actually make the weeding process faster as well.
