Kind Kids Club DIY Freezer Paper Stencil Shirt

Bundle promotions in this blog post have expired. You can find the design we used HERE.

Are you looking for a creative way to get your kids involved in crafting? Then try out making freezer paper stencils! It’s a fun, easy and cost-effective way for kids to create their own personalized designs on t-shirts. In this blog post, we will show you step-by-step how to make freezer paper stencils that your kids can use to decorate their own shirts or other craft projects. Let's get started!

First you will want to pick out a design. I use the Kind Kids Club design from the Mega Crafter's Design Bundle. It has over 275 designs and 6 fonts included for over 89% off!

From there bring the design into Silhouette Studio, size and flip it.

Next, prepare the Freezer paper. Cut the paper to the size of the mat and lay it shiny side up (this is why you will want to flip the design).

Then send the design to cut. I use the Vellum default settings.

After the design is cut, place the freezer paper shiny side down and begin ironing it onto your shirt. I love using the Cricut Mini Press, super easy to handle and heats up extremely quick!

After it is ironed on give the kids some fabric paint (I used a variety of paint brands such as Tulip and Speedball) and let them go to town! Don't forget to follow your paint's recommended wash settings.

After it is dry remove the paper and you have the perfect shirt for your kid to wear.

Making freezer paper stencils is a fun and easy way for kids to customize their own shirts. Whether you’re looking for personalized gifts or just some creative time with the kids, freezer paper stencils are a great option. With this blog post as your guide, you now have all the information and tips you need to get started on your own freezer paper stencil projects. So don’t wait—grab some freezer paper, the design from the Mega Crafter's Bundle, and get crafty!
