How to Stencil on Burlap using Freezer Paper

Want to know how you can add texture to your next sign?… the answer… stenciled burlap!

First up, I cut the design out of freezer paper using my silhouette. The key to this is shiny side down using the medium copy paper setting. Then for the sign part. I grabbed a scrap piece of plywood and gave it a coat of paint. in order to add more texture so I cut to size some burlap and glued it down using some Mod-podge. Once that was good and dry, the time had come for me to grab the freezer paper stencil. Laying the shiny side down first and then slowly using my cricut mini press to where the stencil to burlap. Then it was time to paint the stencil, I used screen print ink and carefully painted in the stencil, making sure to not add to much paint at a time because I didn’t want any bleeding. Once the paint was dry it was time for me to reveal the final look.
