How to Create Stickers with a White Border or Offset in Cricut Design Space
This step by step tutorial will show you how to make stickers with your Cricut machine and SVG designs.
You can create professional looking stickers with the Cricut Design Space Offset Tool and the Print Then Cut feature.
The Offset Tool creates a white border around your svg designs (or fonts - find the tutorial on How to Add an Offset or Drop Shadow to Text Using the Offset Tool HERE.)
Let’s open up an SVG design that we would like to Print Then Cut as stickers. I am using the Christmas Vibes Only SVG design from the Mini Christmas SVG Design Bundle.
Click upload and choose your SVG file.
Add tags if desired and click Upload.
Select and insert it into your canvas.
Recolor the image layers by selecting each layer and choosing a color from the color menu.
Now select all of the layers and click the Offset Tool.
Use the slider to adjust the offset so it doesn’t leave any gaps. I chose .653 inches. Leave Weld Offset checked.
This will create an offset that is black.
Select the offset layer and change the color to white.
Now select all of the layers and click Flatten.
Select the design and resize the width to 2”. Be sure to leave the resize lock “on”. This keep the proportions correct.
Duplicate the design two times and line them up in a row.
Choose all 3 layers and click Align: Center Vertically.
Choose all 3 layers again and click Align: Distribute Horizontally.
This will line them up and create equal space between them.
Choose all 3 layers again and click Flatten and duplicate the layer 6 times.
I am able to create 7 rows & 3 columns for a total of 21 stickers and keep them within the Print Then Cut parameters of 6.75” x 9.25”.
Choose all 7 layers and click Align: Center Vertically.
Choose all 7 layers again and click Align: Distribute Horizontally.
Once they are all aligned properly, select ALL layers and click Flatten.
Click Make It (it may take a few moments because this is a large project.)
You will then see them on the screen within the black Print Then Cut lines.
Click Continue.
Now click on Send to Printer.
Turn off the Bleed option.
Turn on the Use System Dialogue option. This will allow you to use your printer options. It will open the print screen BEHIND Cricut Design Space app so you will need to minimize CDS to see the printer options.
Click Print.
*Be sure to load your sticker paper into the printer. Our favorite sticker paper is Online Labels.
Now choose your material: Printer Sticker Paper and load your blade.
Place the printed sheet of stickers (from your printer) onto the LightGrip (light blue colored) Cricut Mat.
Load and press Go.
