DIY Dollar Tree Spring Truck Decor using HTV on Paint
Add a touch of Spring to your décor with this fun and easy DIY Dollar Tree Spring Truck Decor! Using heat transfer vinyl (HTV), you can transform 2 ordinary wooden truck blanks and a box from the dollar store into a beautiful piece of art!

First, create a design for your truck door. I used the font duo Princess Malihah from the Ultimate Font Duo Bundle. This bundle includes 71 fonts for 94% off!
Mirror the design if you would like to use HTV. I love using HTV for projects like this because I find it easier to weed for small details and it's finish is much thinner than regular vinyl giving it more of a printed feel.
Because this font is a script you will want to 'ungroup' it and then 'weld' it together.
Cut and weed the vinyl, then place it aside as you prepare your truck blanks!
I used 2 truck shaped blanks and a box (for the truck bed) that I got from Dollar Tree. I used regular acrylic paint and painted it black and white. 
After the truck is dried it will be time to apply your HTV. I used a Cricut Mini press at power 3 with a piece of teflon between the HTV and the press. Pressing for about 5 seconds at medium pressure. Remove the transfer paper immediately.
Using hot glue to place the box between the two blanks giving it the look that it is a truck bed.
For some extra embellishment I placed a flower foam block in the bed of the truck and filled it with some felt flowers and greenery I had hanging around the craft room!
