Cricut Easy Press Mini Projects: Pinecone Shoes and Blessed Mama Hat
What's cute, hot & handy? You guessed it right: the Cricut Easy Press Mini!
Join us & create 2 Cricut Easy Press Mini Projects: Pinecone Shoes and Blessed Mama Hat.
We love the Cricut Easy Press Mini and we bet you will too!
----> What is the Easy Press Mini used for?
The small size of the Easy Press Mini allows you to quickly press small projects such as hats, stuffed animals, shoes, sleeves, pockets, mugs, & easily get around buttons & zippers.
----> What size designs can I press with the Easy Press Mini?
You can press as small as the precision tip allows up to the maximum size of approx. 4" x 3.5" or 1.7" x 5.25" with HTV (heat transfer vinyl) or 2.75" x 2.75" or 1.625" x 5" for Cricut Infusible Ink.
----> What heat setting should I use for my project?
The Easy Press Mini has 3 heat settings:
- Low — for lightweight, delicate, synthetic, or heat-sensitive fabrics; also great for more delicate heat-transfer vinyl, such as Foil Iron-On
- Medium — for most fabrics and heat-transfer vinyl
- High — for Infusible Ink projects and blanks
FYI: There is no timer on the Easy Press Mini so you will have to use your phone or a clock.

Today we are going to create 2 Cricut Easy Press Mini Projects: Pinecone Shoes and Blessed Mama Hat
PINECONE CANVAS SHOES

We used the adorable Fall Pinecone SVG Pattern from the Lille Juniper Farmhouse Christmas Bundle.
First create a new project & upload the file into Cricut Design Space.
Now let's separate a pinecone & 2 branches from the layers panel and place them in the top left corner.
We are then going to delete the rest of the layers.

Select the pinecone and adjust the Height to 1".
----> Helpful tip: Make sure the proportions are locked.

Select the branches individually and re-size the Width to 1".

Duplicate the pinecone so there are (4) layers and the branches for (2) of each branch.
Then select all of the layers and align them in the top left corner (to minimize wasting vinyl.)
Now select all of the layers and click ATTACH.

Then click MAKE IT.
Choose MIRROR to mirror the image because we are using the Cricut Glitter Iron On for this part of the project.

Choose Glitter Iron On for the material and click DONE.

Let's cut & weed some Glitter HTV!

While the Cricut Maker is doing its magic, turn on the Cricut Easy Press Mini and choose Medium heat.
---->The Cricut Easy Press Mini will beep when it's ready and the light will turn green.
We stuffed the shoes with a rolled up towel to provide pressure when using the Cricut Easy Press Mini.
Trim away the excess material around the designs and place the branch on the side of the shoe.
The Cricut Glitter Iron On material has the carrier sheet attached. You will need to mirror your designs with Cricut HTV (even though mirroring does not affect the look of this design.)

Now it's time to press your design.
----> Be sure to keep the Mini away from the rubber soles or they will melt - yikes.
Place and press the pinecones and branches in your desired locations for a few seconds and move the Mini carefully around the design to get a good bond. Peel off the carrier sheet.

Great job!
These shoes with the Fall Pinecone SVG Pattern are so easy to create and the possibilities are endless when you have the Mini but mighty Cricut Easy Press Mini!

BLESSED MAMA HAT

The Blessed Mama SVG Cut file is from the Mom Life Bundle, which is part of the October 2019 Bundle (save 93% - but hurry this bundle expires very soon!)
For this project we used Siser EasyPatterns HTV in Sparkleberry. This HTV is cut face up and does not need to be mirrored. The carrier sheet is separate from the vinyl.
First upload the project to Cricut Design Space and resize to 4" Wide.
Select both layers and choose WELD. (We changed the color to purple - this is optional.)
Now Click MAKE IT.

We do not mirror this HTV - it is cut pattern side up.

Now take the carrier sheet that came with the Siser EasyPatterns HTV and peel the backing off. Lay the carrier sheet sticky side down onto your design (facing upwards). Then we use the burnish scraper tool to rub the carrier sheet onto the design and then peel away the HTV backing. This provides a light adhesion to your hat so you do not need heat transfer tape to keep the design in place.

Use the Cricut Easy Press Mini to press your design onto your hat. We pressed for a few seconds and moved the Mini around slowly to get a good bond. You can peel the carrier sheet away to check if the Siser EasyPatterns HTV is set.
When you are finished, removed the carrier sheet.
----> You can also go over the design with a teflon sheet to make sure the seams and Siser EasyPatterns HTV are properly bonded.

VOILA! You have now created a cute hat in minutes! Throw it on and flaunt it!
