Create Stickers Using the Cricut Foil Transfer Tool - No Heat Required!
Today we are going to use the brand new Cricut Foil Transfer Tool. This amazing little tool allows you to add foil accents and single line designs to your projects without any heat.
Let's open a new canvas in Cricut Design Space and upload our design.
We are going to create foil quilled round stickers using Online Labels Kraft Paper Sticker sheets and the WRMK Holiday Foil Quill Bundle of 100 Designs.
Select Shapes and create a rectangle that is 8.5" w x 11" h. We will delete this layer before we send to the Maker.
Now create 20 circles that are 2" in diameter and align them inside the rectangle as shown.
Select all 20 circles and click Attach. Turn off the background rectangle.
Upload your foil quill single line designs. I am using several adorable sketch designs from the WRMK Holiday Bundle, which has 100 designs that work PERFECTLY with the Cricut Foil Transfer Tool.
Align each design inside a circle.
Select all 20 designs and click on the dropdown menu for Linetype.
Choose Foil > Fine. This is the tip size you will use when you insert into the Foil Transfer Tool and then place into clamp "B". You can choose Fine, Medium, or Bold.
Now Attach each design group. This will take several minutes. Then select layers and start attaching them to each other. This will take several minutes to complete if you use 20 different designs. If you'd like it to take less time, choose only 1-5 designs that have minimal lines.
Click MAKE IT
Place the Foil Transfer Tool into clamp "B". Make sure the fine tip is inserted because it must match the Linetype you chose.
Place the 8.5" x 11" Kraft Paper Sticker Sheet onto the LightGrip Mat (blue) and tape a piece of foil over the sticker sheet. The tape is included with your foil. I am using 12x12 Silver Foil Sheets.
After the Maker stops applying the foil, do not unload the mat. This is VERY important. Remove the tape and foil sheet, replace the Cricut Foil Transfer Tool with the Fine Cut Blade in clamp "B" and hit Go. The machine will now cut the circles out around each of the shimmery designs.
The Cricut Foil Transfer Tool works by applying pressure instead of heat. This allows you to easily swap tools and cut after adding a little shimmer to your projects. The foil sheets come in 5 colors in 4" x 6" sheets: Aqua, Eggplant, Emerald, Silver & Gold. The 12" x 12" foil sheets are only available in Silver & Gold.
