Best Tips for Cutting Faux Leather Earrings with Intricate Designs
Are you sick of tearing your faux leather sheets when trying to cut intricate earring svg designs with your Cricut, ScanNCut or Silhouette machine? Well we have a trick or two that might help....
Here are some great tips for cutting faux leather earrings with intricate designs such as these adorable Halloween earring templates, which you can find in the Earring Bundle.
Our favorite trick is to use heat transfer vinyl (HTV) for the small intricate details and then press onto the faux leather backing. This can be a life saver when you are having issues with delicate designs tearing your faux leather sheets.
Once you have cut the earring bases out of the faux leather and the intricate parts of the design out of the HTV, use the Cricut Mini Easy Press to apply the HTV directly onto the faux leather base.
Place the cut HTV piece right on the leather earring base and press for a few seconds until you can easily remove the carrier sheet.
Now make the earrings double-sided by running the back of the earrings through the Xyron then press onto the front.
Make the holes for your jewelry hardware using a small 1mm punch.
