How to Create Business Cards in Canva + Free Template
Business cards are an excellent way to spread the news about your small business.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to create business cards using Canva with a free business card template that you can customize for your business.
Click HERE to open and edit the business card template in Canva. This can be done using the free version of Canva.
Change the zoom to view both front & back pages at once.
Under design click the little arrow to view the pages labeled front and back.
Click on the front page to edit the information on the template.
Here you can change colors by clicking on any element and then clicking on the color.
You can also change the font by clicking on the font name.
A few good design practices for creating your business card:
- Balance the white space & readability – don’t overcrowd the card with too much information
- Choose fonts that are easy to read - Canva has hundreds of fonts to choose from
- Use a minimum font size of 6 pts
- Keep elements within the “bleed” area of the business card so they aren’t cut off when printed
Once you've updated the front of the business card with your information, choose the back page of your business card by clicking on it at the bottom of the page:
Once you are happy with your business cards, you can download them by clicking Share > Download
Choose PDF Print and change the color profile to CMYK for printing.
You can also have your cards printed through Canva. Click Share > Print Your Design:
Choose Business Cards:
Canva will prompt you to resize the design to fit the business card. Click > Resize Design
Click on Double Sided and All Pages (2).
We recommend the Premium Paper / Matte Finish.
Choose your quantity and click Continue.
Duuble check that none of your elements are outside the "Danger Zone" and click Continue.
Download a PDF Proof to check for any mistakes and if they look correct, click Continue to order your cards.
