Fonts and Design Files that Need Instruction:
- If you have specific guidance or instructional information on how to use the file or font you are selling, we’d strongly recommend including that information as a PDF in the zip file that’s included in your product download. That’ll help cut down on a lot of requests and make it easiest for the customers. We understand we are only now putting this suggestion out there so just keep it in mind going forward when you upload any further designs.
- For those products already on the site, please include any necessary instructional info in the product description as opposed to an outgoing link
- If you have instructional Youtube videos you can easily and quickly pull the embed code and copy/paste it right into the Product Description. Just click the “Text” tab and paste the code. Go back to the Visual tab and you’ll see your video embedded right there 🙂 – see screen grabs below.
Email Contacts
- We have a general contact page on So Fontsy, but you are asking you to also put your email address in your SF shop bio so if a customer has a specific question about your design they can ask you directly. This will cut down the back and forth of them contacting our general email address only for us to direct them to you.
- If anyone contacts you needing help about a transaction (e.g., duplicate purchase), please direct them to the FAQ page, Tutorial page or customerservice@Sofontsy.com and we’ll take care of anything like that
Outbound Links from So Fontsy
- We are asking that, from SoFontsy.com, you do not share any links to other websites that sell your designs. If you have included them already, we are kindly asking that they please be removed
- Please do not refer So Fontsy costumers to websites or retailers that directly compete with ownerships’ other endeavors. If you need a place to direct people for supplies (i.e. vinyl, HTV, stencil material for stencil designs or sketch pens for sketch designs) – Swing Design has an affiliate program and sells the full range of Silhouette, Oracal, and Siser products along with heat presses, some Cricut products and tons of other items crafters are looking for. - Any relevant links to third party sites, which do not compete with So Fontsy or ownerships’ other businesses, must be approved (For example you sell sticker sets that are specifically for an Erin Condren planner and you want to link to the EC website to get the planner as well)
- If tutorials are necessary for you to link to, So Fontsy has a Tutorials page with both Silhouette, Cricut, and general design/font tutorials. We’ll continue to add to this page. In addition, Silhouette School has more than 1000 free tutorials on Silhouette Studio and the Silhouette cutting machines along with many tutorials on processes and craft techniques that can be applied to any cutting machine (i.e. layering vinyl or applying multi color HTV.
- Our developer is still working on adding Social Media handles to shop bios so you can link to your FB and IG – in the meantime you can include text links in your bio
